Funded through the education, outreach, and training program of the TeraGrid project, this initiative employs stereoscopic 3D storytelling to provide real-world context concerning the benefits of computational science and computer simulation. It features three original videos produced at Indiana University in conjunction with partners across the US.
Targetting students in grades 5-12 as well as the general public, each video is approximately five minutes in length and has elements of computer-generated imagery and live-action. The first two have already been shown to thousands of viewers at numerous locations and events throughout the US. A third video is currently under production and scheduled to be released late 2011.
We invite you to click on the tabs above to view or download the videos in a vareity of formats featuring both monoscopic and stereoscopic presentations. Educators are encouraged to employ the videos as supplemental content for cirriculum and feature the videos in their classes. Museums might incorporate the videos into larger exhibits. Families can utilize the videos on their new 3D television.
